After I sent the first post I wrote yesterday, I was surprised by the nasty feedback I received. However, when I spoke with close friends and family — many of which don’t agree with my views — they said that it was a good article that did not push one agenda or another and was on the middle ground. That was honestly my intent. My goal was to bring people together because that is the last thing those in power want. Why? Because unity is the solution.
Once people become less divided, accept others regardless of their differences, and show love for one another, well, that is a direct threat to those in power. There is nothing in life that is clear cut and simple. Actually, sometimes there is. For instance, if you need to silence anyone for anything, then don’t you find that a little concerning? Isn’t the United States of America founded on the principles of sharing information, debating tough topics, and having uncomfortable discussions? In case you forgot, it is.
In fact, one of the most beautiful things I have seen in recent memory is what’s going on in Canada. There are over 16,000 truck drivers and over 1 million people protesting peacefully for freedom. Let me reiterate that. The people in Canada have to protest for their freedom! Are you serious?! That is ludicrous. However, everyone (including myself) should be taking notes. Everyone in Canada that is protesting is doing so peacefully, with a smile, and most importantly, without any violence. Just like the great Martin Luther King, Jr. did for the civil rights of African Americans in the 20th century, which I think we can all agree was a long overdue.
What’s going on not only in America but everywhere else in the world — or so it seems — is a different approach. If you need to silence your opposition for expressing their thoughts and their personal opinions because it is different than what your opinion is, then you obviously are scared of something. So, then the question becomes simple: What are you scared of? Are you scared of people listening to the opposing opinions? And if you are, why? That’s a question I implore everyone to ponder.
Now, I don’t want to make every post long and winded like my first one, however, I want to speak up on a consistent basis because people need to come together. In my opinion, the reason why those with all the money and power don’t want us to get along is because if we did, then we would all rejoin the same team, the only team, the human team. I’m going to keep emphasizing this because the loud voices we hear in the media every minute, every day want to paint a picture of being on “this side” or “that side”. Why you ask? Because the only way you can push through inhumane agendas is by convincing one side to ‘kill off’ the other. Or in other words, “if anyone disagrees with you either silence them, smear them, or kill them”. I know that seems farfetched — and believe me I always thought that — but the world has changed the past 2-years and it’s time we all wake up to what’s going on.
Just like I said in my first post, you are free to express any opinion you want, but there’s one thing you can never do: you will never silence us. No matter who you are, I don’t think you like violence. Well, I don’t. And I know those doing the silencing don’t want to be harmed, and they shouldn’t be, but I’m not OK with people who don’t have as loud of a voice to suffer a false narrative that no one wants: more murder, more crime, and to not be safe. Everyone wants to be safe and everyone wants their family to be safe. It shouldn’t even have to be explicitly written about, but it seems that those days have been forgotten. So, let me help remind you. All people deserve to be loved, cared for, and safe. I sure didn’t feel safe in New York City a month ago when I was there and now to see the wife of the cop who was killed in Harlem earlier this week express her truth was one of the saddest things I ever watched. Take a look for yourself.
The problem is complicated, but the solution is simple. I’ll never know why some people aren’t listening, but this can’t go on any longer. If you have lost hope, just look at the protests in Canada and you will find it. It’s beautiful, it’s amazing, and we should all be thanking those truck drivers and civilians in Canada who are acting with more courage than any other group of people in the world. We need to learn, ask questions, and join them in the fight for freedom. Like I mentioned in my previous article, “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone”.
